Presenting a reflective oval deep-set in a carved rectangular frame of solid walnut timber, the Brodzki Mirror is inspired by façade details of the famed CBR Building in Belgium – a European Brutalist landmark designed by Belgian architects Constantin Brodzki and Marcel Lambrichs, and completed in 1970. The mirror itself resembles the building’s windows, while the frame references the striking moulded cement modules that encase them and define external contours. The choice of walnut for the frame echoes the use of timber for original interior fixtures.
The frame is polished and matte-sealed using Danish oil, which nourishes the timber, enhances its grain and protects the surface from dirt and staining. The Brodzki Mirror can be mounted with paint-friendly adhesive tabs or traditional picture-hanging wire.
The nickel finish is carved from billet aluminium and hand polished before being plated in nickel. Only available in 530MM, the nickel-finished mirrors are signed, numbered and dated.
Crafted and finished in Sydney, Australia.
